Toronto Escorts: HIV-Aids – lawsuits: Sex and sensibility.

December 30th, 2009 · No Comments

A Toronto man has launched a 30 million dollar lawsuit against his wife for infecting him with the HIV virus. In the lawsuit Immigration Canada, Canadian Border Services Agency and the Zanzibar Tavern are also mentioned as responsible parties by the plaintiff.
Percy Williams (34) of Toronto met his Thai wife Suwalee Iamhkong (40) who worked as a prostitute and Go Go dancer in Hong Kong before immigrating to Canada in 1995 and soon found work as a stripper at the Zanzibar Tavern until 2004.
Mr. William’s accuses Immigration Canada and asks how can someone with HIV be admitted to Canada as an immigrant?
In 2005, media reports of a Federal Liberal fiasco whereby Judy Sgro, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration under Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin  allowed exotic dancers to immigrate to Canada, though this provision was on the books during the Chretien years preceding this.   Why? Apparently there were not enough Canadian exotic dancers to fill the growing Canadian adult entertainment industry.

Toronto Strip Clubs: Stripper fights $30M suit

December 30th, 2009 · No Comments

TORONTO — Lawyers for an HIV-infected Thai stripper are going to court Monday in a bid to get dismissed a $30-million lawsuit filed by her ex-husband.
Percy Whiteman, 34, of Toronto, is suing his ex, Suwalee Iamkhong, the Canada Border Services Agency, Immigration Canada and the Zanzibar Tavern, alleging their negligence led to him contracting HIV.
Whiteman claims Iamkhong, 40, a former go-go dancer and prostitute in Hong Kong, was allowed into Canada with HIV and that led to his life being placed in jeopardy.
Iamkhong arrived in Canada in 1995 and worked as a stripper at the Zanzibar Tavern on Yonge St. until 2004. The pair were married from 1997 to 2004, when she told him that she had HIV.
Iamkhong was sentenced in August 2007 to two years in jail after being convicted of criminal negligence causing bodily harm for infecting Whiteman.

Toronto Escorts: The Young Victoria

December 24th, 2009 · No Comments

Politics arrive in the second half, breathless but ready for duty, as Victoria is crowned and immediately put to the test as queen. Showing some hesitation with stone-faced displays of palace operation, Vallee is forced to portray Victoria’s developing pimp hand as queen. Again, Blunt is strong here, along with a skilled supporting cast, but the film deflates the further it walks away from Victoria’s tentative steps toward control, becoming repetitive and lost. Vallee does get the film back on track later in the story with a few domestic irritants for Victoria and Albert, which is where the heart of the period piece feels most comfortable. The history books lavish attention on Victoria’s political machinations, but “The Young Victoria” is at its finest when sensitive to her worry and accelerated maturity.

Toronto Escorts: Memories of Halladay stand out

December 24th, 2009 · No Comments

March, 28, 2001, Dunedin, Fla., manager Buck Martinez’s office: Halladay had been impressive in the bullpen and struggled on the mound. “We’re sending him out,” Martinez said. Syracuse? “No.” Knoxville? “No.” Dunedin because of the cold spring in New York? “No, it’s going to be a long process, we’re going to keep him at Dunedin until he has success.” He left with a 13-14 record.
July 2, 2001, the SkyDome: Halladay comes on in relief of starter Esteban Loaiza who retired one hitter, allowed six hits, three walks and six runs in a 15-4 loss to the Boston Red Sox before 38,237 fans. He left with a 23.14 ERA. One headline the next day reads: “Halladay Reborn, Arm Delivery, Attitude Adjusted in Minors.”
Spring, 2002, Dunedin: Orlando Hudson is demoted for saying new general manager J.P. Ricciardi dressed like a pimp. “Orlando is the best teammate I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot . . . remember I’ve been through the system twice.” A rare sign of humour from Halladay.

Toronto Escorts: Column: Gossip aside, golf world needs Tiger

December 24th, 2009 · No Comments

When the news of Tiger’s accident broke, his perfect image died between the headlights in his neighbor’s tree. Since Thanksgiving, we have heard of more than two dozen affairs he supposedly had. (I’m not going to write the current number because I am sure there will be at least two more between now and when this prints.) Tiger reportedly paid the women tens of thousands of dollars to keep quiet. Furthermore, he has been called a “player” whenever he goes out to bars and is supposedly rude to women. I didn’t believe this last one when I first heard it. I don’t know if you ever watched, but Tiger has attended several Stanford basketball games over the past decades. Tiger sits in the student section, the Sixth Man, and looks like a goofy nerd. But I guess he turns into a “pimp” when the cameras are not around.

Toronto Massage Parlors: Girl, 15, worked in brothel: Cops

December 23rd, 2009 · No Comments

A 15-year-old girl was recruited from a downtown youth shelter to work at a massage parlour that was operating as a brothel, police said Sunday. (ALEX UROSEVIC/QMI Agency file photo)

When police raided the so-called massage parlour above Elephant & Castle pub on Dec. 9, no minors were found on the premises, leaving investigators to charge a handful of women with being inmates of a common bawdy house.

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly recruited by the older teen from Evergreen youth shelter, which sits just down the street from the massage parlour. Tips that prompted the investigation into the business indicated teens were also being recruited from nearby Covenant House.

The owner of the massage parlour is expected to surrender to police today when he will likely be slapped with charges of permitting the premises to be used as a bawdy house and keeping a common bawdy house, Giancola said.

Toronto Adult Entertainment: Study: ‘Green’ shoppers more likely to steal and cheat

December 21st, 2009 · No Comments

A reported study by the University of Toronto’s Rotman’s Business School, examined a sample of people who were asked to purchase goods at a grocery store. Those who gathered more ‘green’ or environmentally friendly items were less likely to later share money with an anonymous recipient or more likely to lie or cheat on a subsequent quiz.
Moral licensing is a growing field of research that offers insight into amoral behavior by examining how people regulate morality. It puts forward the idea that people who feel morally satisfied from an accumulation of good acts are granted a ‘license’ to engage in less ethical behaviors and vice versa.
For example, Tiger Woods who is a dedicated and sensational golf professional and philanthropist, was found to “fritter it all away with a few nights of extramarital indiscretion”. Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is another, who was found consorting with prostitutes after publicly stamping out organized crime and corporate illegality.

Toronto Adult Entertainment: Toronto man arrested for running brothel

December 21st, 2009 · No Comments

A 25-year-old Toronto man is facing several charges after police discovered a brothel inside a Kitchener hotel this week.
Waterloo Regional Police say they discovered the bawdy house inside a hotel room Tuesday after receiving a tip that a missing Kitchener woman was seen there.
When officers went to the room, they found three women and a man inside.
The women – two from Toronto and one from Kitchener – were between the ages of 15 and 20.
Police allege that money was exchanged for sex in the hotel room.
They say there was no indication the women were forcibly confined, and one of the Toronto women has been charged with possession of drugs.

Canada’s Criminal Code refers to a common bawdy-house as a place that is kept or occupied for the purpose of prostitution, or the practice of acts of indecency.
