Eric Devlin, a prosecutor in the Harris County district attorney’s office, said the boy’s mom was convinced that the relationship would continue.
“This defendant continued to have conversations with the mom. She expressed that the relationship was not over,” said Devlin.
“While she (Price) was here, he was 14, 15, and 16 communicating with her online. She’s here in Houston communicating in an explicitly sexual manner with a minor and in Texas that’s illegal,” said Devlin.
“So while, yes, she did have sex with him in Canada, she’s not charged with a sexual assault.”
Devlin alleges Price enticed the boy from his parents by coaching him and even dictating the note he would leave to his parents.
If convicted, Price could face a maximum of 10 years in prison for each charge. Authorities are also considering charges under federal laws relating to sex tourism.

Vancouver East Side poverty festers amidst Stephen Harper government’s corporate tax cuts
by John Stokes
Many British Columbians who have either seen or ventured in the vicinity East Hastings in Vancouver might have asked themselves the question, does it have to be this way? Arguably, Vancouver’s East Side that has been featured in television documentaries and news reports, is the worst type of urban area of human destitution and hopelessness. People are being left to rot in a community of drug and alcohol abuse, gang warfare, and exploitation by pimps, or in font of, or behind various condemned storefronts and other buildings.
However, it does not have to be this way. Such human destitution in areas of poverty and ensuing social malaise that fosters cultures of violence, can easily be addressed within the socially responsible management of Canadian taxpayers’ money. However, this is not the apparent intent of the Stephen Harper government. Rather than allocate public funds, back into communities that look to government to equitably allocate financial resources, the Stephen Harper g …

When the ROM design emerged some thought it was bold and brilliant, while others said it was just him imposing his aesthetic on a historic structure. The original design has a lot more glass and a lot less metal, but few changed their opinions when the thing opened, and that’s fine; if art isn’t a bit controversial, if people aren’t talking about it, what’s the point?
We don’t begrudge artistes the right to explore the same themes over and over again—for John Irving to write about bears and people losing limbs, for Steven Spielberg to make movies about kids and/or aliens, for Snoop Dogg to rap about bein’ a pimp who likes the pot. We’d even expect Frank Gehry to go wild with big, swooping piles of titanium, except that most people agree the reason the AGO works is because he didn’t…

If founder Ratan Tata has his way, it’s a question we may be asking in three years. At this week’s New Delhi auto show, the Indian automaker head confirmed he’s considering selling the über-cheap Nano in the U.S., following a possible launch in Europe in 2011.”We also recognize there is a market (for the Nano) not only in developing countries, but possibly in the developed countries,” Tata said in an Automotive News report.
While the Nano, above, can be had in its home market for as little as US $2,500, a European version with cleaner emissions and more safety (bumpers, airbags), entertainment (iPod jacks), comfort (air conditioning) and convenience (rear defroster) features is expected to cost more like US $8,000 to $10,000.
Even at that price, the five-door hatch Nano is no sales slam dunk. It only has a 35 hp, rear-mounted 0.6-litre two-cylinder engine and a four-speed manual.
While most stripper subcompacts can be had in the $13,000 range, Hyundai will still sell you an Accent for under $10,000 if you have the cash. And it’s a “real” car.
