Toronto Massage Parlors: Man charged after woman falls 11 floors

Toronto police were at an apartment on the 19th floor of the building for another reason when they were called about a disturbance on the 11th floor, which they say was unrelated.
“As they were responding to the [second] call, a woman ended up going over the balcony from the 11th floor,” said Det. Darren Berezowski.
Police believe the only reason she survived the drop was because she landed on a ground-floor satellite dish, which they say cushioned her fall.
A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the incident and later charged, police said. They have yet to reveal his identity.
Several police officers were also treated for minor injuries at the scene. The province’s Special Investigations Unit, which investigates whenever there’s a death or injury while police are involved, is looking into the incident.
Neighbours said the apartment was being used as a massage parlour, but police would not confirm if that was the case.

A young woman in her 20’s was allegedly pushed from the 11th story floor of a north end high rise in Toronto, Canada.
The police had originally responded to a call about a gun, but when they got there the woman dropped to the ground and hit a ground floor satellite dish that just might have saved her life.
She was among four that suffered injuries around 5pm on Wednesday. One of the persons suffering injuries was an undercover female cop.
Apparently a man was trying to throw the woman over the balcony when police tried to stop him, but their attempt failed. This all happened in a massage parlor.
Police said the man struggled as they were arresting him and he now faces more charges. A woman who is suspected of being a madam of the parlor was also held by the police.

A Filipino nanny is at the centre of a human trafficking investigation unveiled by a bust on a popular Richmond Hill massage parlour over the weekend.
Eleven women were found inside Club De Lotto on East Wilmot St., near Leslie St. and Hwy. 7, after police busted through the doors Friday night, but only one of them gave a statement against the so-called pimps who police allege were running the show, York Regional Police vice Det. Thai Truong said Monday.
The woman arrived in Canada last year to work as a nanny, but soon realized she wasn’t making enough to support her family and child in The Philippines, so she posted an ad on Kijiji offering to clean houses on the weekends, Truong said.
